Now That It Is Raining,

pretty much everyday,

an umbrella is a necessity to have with you when walking around, and here is a way to have a customised one with a picture on the inside of it that you have taken with your mobile phone, if it has a 360 degree lens attachment, or indeed a normal camera with a fish eye lens, if you are not sure of the images I am talking about have a look here, they have to be true 360 degree pictures not panoramic ones,

Japanese creative agency PARTY has come up with a neat application, printing these photos onto the roof of umbrellas to make a custom, 360-degree view over your head when it rains,

launching today, Panorella is a new service that lets you upload your own 360°photos and easily print them onto the roof of an umbrella, each umbrella costs 14,800 yen (at today's rate £113 or $144), each one is hand made by craftsmen in Japan, which is why the umbrellas take about 1 month to build after your order is submitted, and for those of us that do not have a 360°photo Panorella also offers a bunch of photos to choose from by professional and amateur photographers, and no I am not on commission, I just thought it was a neat idea.
