We Are Not Having Our Usual Sunday Lunch Today,

first thing we will be out with Steve and Kai,

but more of that tomorrow, back to Saturday, I will only be making one post and as soon as I post it we will be out, first thing I popped downstairs to the cellar, bits and pieces had been arriving for the big day next week,

all of the backboard to the electric meters and cables are being replaced,

to bring them up to the latest safety specifications,

some bits have already been moved,

it is pretty dark down there,

but this is what the flats and cottage metres look like now, next Wednesday we will all be without power as the first part of the change over begins, I had a quiet day, just cleaning the aquarium and waiting for more bits and pieces for the shop to arrive,

in the evening time for a read, as it happens I finished the latest Private Eye, so back to Wilt

form my meal this evening, a Lancashire hot pot,

'Cheers!', I followed that after listening to music with my film for the evening,

Mister Johnson, from the blurb: 'During the British era, a Nigerian, loyal to Great Britain, encourages embezzlement and lands himself in trouble. As he continues to deceive everyone, he struggles to keep his family safe', it was a enjoyable film, the main character Mister Johnson reminded me of Rangi Ram in the series It Ain't Half Hot Mum, both characters have adopted the values of Britain so enthusiastically that both think of themselves as British, and for Mister Johnson he even wears a white tropical suit and leather dress shoes even in the summer's fierce heat, both speak of "our" standards and "our" institutions, a enjoyable film, just before the end Diana arrived home so time for a coffee and a chat before we were off to bed.
