Diana Has Been Reading Cook Books And Watching Cooking Programs On The TV,

well today is the day that she is going to cook a roast dinner, so it was off to Friendship to buy supplies, as most of you know I view the kitchen as a death trap for me, so with the help of also watching Nick and Maureen prepare a roast it was all systems go!
but first a stop to buy some of this years lychee's at the market,
everything Diana needs for a roast dinner,
preparing the cooking tray, everything is coming on nicely,
bay leaves, rosemary and lemon for the stock, (it almost seems that I know what I am talking about!)
time to serve,
our first home cooked meal, and delicious it was as well,
Tom very kindly gave us a bottle of Bardolino wine that I said we would save for a special romantic occasion, well this was it, no eating off the coffee table as usual, proper tables and chairs, do not worry Mr. Tony, Mark and Geoff and Fa, we are planning a few more home cooked meals in the coming weeks, we will be having the wine with them,
"Cheers!" from both of us and a big "well done" to Diana,
whilst sitting at the table this is the view we had of the fish tank,
after dinner Mike and Riza called round for a drink and a chat,
and of course more than a few games of cribbage, we also watched two essentially British films, Snatch and Gangster No 1, both in my view well worth watching, but having grown up in the Kray/Richardson era and commuting for 5 years through their "manor" No 1 Gangster brought a few memories back, if anyone remembers the two bars, Hang Your Hat At Mr. Smiths and The Witch Doctor, scary times indeed!
