and really enjoyed was Galaxy Quest, if you have not watched the film it is a hilarious take off of Star Trek, one thing I have always thought about the film was why it was not better received, it seemed to have everything going for it, great cast, excellent plot, and really good special effects, so what really happened to give the film its lack luster start? The Hollywood Reporter spoke with director Dean Parisot,
producer Mark Johnson and stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell, Tony
Shalhoub, Justin Long, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Enrico Colantoni and Missi Pyle,
who reflect on the film’s legacy and future, so now I know, and I would suggest if you have not watched the movie, it is well worth a look, well we found it funny.

You know, if you like Galaxy Quest, you will love The Orville. It's a labor of love by Seth McFarlane (I remember that you and I watched him in "A Million Ways to Die in the West"), who created his own Star Trek type TV series, but a bit more humorous, with the characters are a bit more rough around the edges... especially the captain (played by McFarlane). It really is Galaxy Quest turned into a television show. There have been two seasons so far, 26 episodes. For the upcoming third season, McFarlane took the show off Fox and moved it to Hulu so that he could make shorter seasons more slowly, but with better production and writing.
