The First Time,

I recollect,

hearing the sound that a theremin made was in the Sci-Fi film Forbidden Planet, and since then often thought it would be fun to buy one, but one that appears to be pretty good is a bit out of my 'fun' price bracket,

and then I saw this, the XPLC Theremin Baby Head, wave your hand near the appropriately arranged proximity sensors and you'll produce the right sounds to, presumably, calm small children, and guess what? It has bright red LED eyes to add a warm, comforting look to the experience, as one reviver wrote, ‘ It's the zenith of tasteful decorating for every abode’, er, not! as an aside,

a theremin as it should be played, Clara Rockmore playing "The Swan" (Saint-Saëns), performed by Clara Rockmore (1911-1998), the first performer to bring complete musical artistry to the theremin, this song from suit "The Carnival of the Animals" which is included here, what a magical sound.
