it is Art Deco, and this photograph by Edward Steichen sums up the period for me, I guess we watch too many television programs from that period like Poirot which is at the end of that period of fashion, but if you like fashions of that period, here are a few photographs by Edward Steichen of Art Deco in all of it's glory.
