a number of period dramas,
and enviably as they talk in some of the quieter scenes ladies are embroidering,
but their work is nowhere as fine, detailed or as small as,
self taught, Oxford-based illustrator
Chloe Giordano,
but it was not all plain sailing as she explains, to achieve results like these was only made “through a lot of
trying things out and messing them up.”
each piece is deeply
connected to her pencil drawings, as she works out many of the details on paper
before turning to thread,
if you have the inclination to try embroidery like this, Chloe answers questions on her Tumblr page, and you
can follow more of her progress on Instagram, I wonder if any of the actresses we see in the period dramas are as talented as this?
