you will often feel bumps under your feet,
they are there for a reason,
to blind and partially sighted people they are a code,
like Braille, but of the streets, what I did not know was that the bumps themselves can be in rows,
or offset for different services like trains,
also other raised marks like lines warn of shared pedestrian and bicycle lines, and the direction of travel,
lozenges are used to help identify tram stations and crossings,
what does not help is when workers for services or councils totally mess the scheme up,
by not consulting the guide lines laid down by the RNIB,
I watched this video by Tom Scott, that makes all of the street tactile designs clear, this to council and service workers in the UK, for heavens put things back as they were, one small mistake could so easily end in disaster for some one who totally relies on these guides, I am not sure if these tiles are in other countries, hopefully they are, if not they should be.
