Another Bright Day,

we had decided to go shopping in Bromley,

starting at the lower end and walking up, so a 162 bus from Beckenham junction, we arrived just before 11.00 for the 11.06, it never arrived, the 11.20 arrived at 11.25, the driver explaining that there had been an accident, so the 11.06 was cancelled and he was now going for a break for at least 8 minutes, so we walked to the 227 stop as one was due, we arrived at the top not the bottom of the High Street, over an hour for a 12 minute bus ride,

Diana popped into Primark as I wandered as aimlessly as a cloud along the High Street,

taking a few photographs as I went, I wanted to buy some stick on feet for Diana's chest of drawers that is arriving soon, the back legs will be on the gripper for the carpet so I am going to stick two pads under the front feet to keep it level,

having said it was a bright day, it was also a windy day as this balloon seller was finding out,

 'I want that one!',

the lady made her way down the High Street,

and past me, we made our way to the bus stops outside Bromley South station for the 162, there was already a queue, as the minutes ticked by not a single bus appeared for all 12 or 14 routes of the buses that stop at all of the station stops, by now the queue must have had 50 or 60 people milling around the stops, we decided to walk to Bromley North for the 227, as we passed the stops at the Glades there were literally hundreds and I do mean hundreds of passengers waiting for non-existent buses, something major had happened to stop all of the buses, the 227 route was not affected and we were soon home, I did a search on the Internet but could find no reason for the lack of buses, note to self, do not rely on public transport, take the car!

our first meal on our new table and chairs,

for our starter, Peking duck rolls,

 followed by,

 bangers and mash,

 'Cheers!',

 for dessert,

 an Eton mess,

which was delicious, diet starts tomorrow!

we then settled down to a game of Monopoly, the first game was over almost before it started, so we had another one, 2 - 0 to me, the reason the game was so quick was that we not only play by our own set of rules, but we realised this set had no dice and we only had one dice for the Trivial Pursuits set, the dice are for some reason on the high seas on their way to us from Thailand, we listened to music for most of the evening, then one from New Tricks and we were off to bed.
