We Were Up Early,

and off to Dorking,

 to the halls there,

 for an antiques fair,

there were two halls with over 50 or so sellers there,

the good news was that there were a number of stalls that had items that were on our wish list, also Dorking is well known for the number of antiques shops there, so a visit in the next week or two is on the cards when they are open, plus I am guessing some cakes and an afternoon tea,

we made our way back to the car, which since its hissy fit with the puncture has run well,

 looking back to the halls,

on the way back we called in at Homebase, the bedroom light had failed, so it seemed like a good place to buy a new one, me and electrics, again!

whilst here we had a look outside,

at some of the plants for sale,

 like these primroses,

 some multi coloured,

we passed a few more rows of them,

 and into the center section,

where there were some 'double' primroses, I had not seen them before, just the singles,

also there were some huge tubs here, like these olives,

at huge prices, and if you look under the label with a bit of guessing, huge discounts,

 more in our price league,

hanging baskets, new bulb purchased we were off home,

for our Sunday roast, for today rolled lamb, with gravy for Diana,

 and without for myself,

 'Cheers!',

for desert, apple crumble with ice cream,

we listened to music for the rest of the afternoon and early evening, but I had to take a few photographs of today's purchases, we both like the Art Deco style of furniture and accessories, like this atomiser,

 and scent bottle,

typical of the period is the large over exaggerated stopper,

we also added these two for Diana's dressing table,

for myself a vase for my writing desk and use on the dining table, immediately recognizable by the thickness of the glass, it is by the Stromberg studio, and signed, although a little later than the Art Deco period, the factory closed in 1979, I just loved the three fish, wheel engraved on it, especially as in most case just one, and rarely two fish are engraved on the company's vases, the code engraved on the base dates to a few years from the late 1940s to the very early 1950s, now here is a thought if it was made in 1950 it would be the same age as me!

after listening to music at 8.00 we started watching television, for this weeks episode of the new series of Endeavour,

and rounded the evening off with a couple from Wolf Hall, as the midnight hour approached we were then off to bed.
