playing at being a househusband,
after hoovering the flat and spending a lot of time cleaning most of the algae from the aquarium, it was feet up until my evening meal, just before10.00 Diana called, so off to the bus stop on a very slippery path, it was so slippery in fact I walked on the road, which was still just ice, jut a little easier to walk on than the pathway, arriving back home it was feet up for a New Tricks, then for us we were off to bed.

We arrived in Texas in time to enjoy their coldest weather in 5 years. We also have had freezing rain and icing conditions, which is rare for this area. Normally the weather stays above freezing with mild daytime temperatures but this week has been very unusual. Many places in North America are getting hit with record low temperatures and heavy snow and ice conditions. Is it the natural cycle of weather or climate change? Either way we can’t wait for a return to norms. We hope Spring is just around the corner and hope all stay warm and safe during this trying time with Mother Nature.

Dear John and Alley, it is still so cold over here, in Beckenham last night minus 5, the good news is that we have bright blue sunny skies today, but I am guessing that it is still just an ice rink on the roads and streets that are not used much like ours, still it could be worse I still remember the big freeze of 1962, it was so cold even the River Thames froze over! have a look here,

hopefully very soon our weather and travel restrictions will return to normal, having said that I have just read that bars and restaurants will not be allowed to open here until June, if there are any left that can open! best regards, Stan and Diana.
