When Traveling Abroad,

we have all seen signs that have not been translated as expected,

well this museum in Japan celebrates these mistakes, positioning them as valuable stepping stones in acquiring a new language,

the pop-up museum, was being held at Tokyo’s UltraSuperNew Gallery in Harajuku, the exhibition is actually a publicity campaign from language learning app Duolingo,

from Duolingo: 'The hope is that when visitors look at the signs, menus, clothes, and other objects exhibited in the museum—objects that can make them chuckle, gasp, think, and reflect—they will notice there’s more depth to wonky English than they initially thought and become more emboldened to learn a foreign language',

in the video below it is explained how just one misplaced letter can change the meaning totally,

although The Museum of Wonky English closed yesterday it is hoped it will appear again in 2023, I have seen howlers like these in many articles, but this is the first, albeit short opening museum that I have ever seen dedicated to howlers.
