I Am Only Making One Post Today,

as there are lots of photographs,

and I want to accompany Diana to the bus stop and walk into town, we decided on a walk around Crystal Palace Park, it was crowded in the park where we live, cars everywhere,

glad rags on and we were off,

the daffodils on the green looking nice,

as were the ones in the churchyard,

also some blue flowers, but not bluebells,

on the other side of the building a magnolia was also putting on a good show,

the bus took us halfway up the hill, the usual stop was closed due to road works,

we could soon see the stalls in the distance,

we passed the memorial,

from the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve,

the sign says it all,

the garden surrounding the memorial looking nicely cared for,

any moment now,

and here we were,

have oven, will travel,

Filipino street food,

Diana was tempted,

one of the two cheese stalls,

Diana was thinking of having a coffee, but the thought of queueing up like the last time we were here for the craft fair put her off, the owners of the café, Bromley council, will not allow stall holders to serve hot drinks in the winter, our local council working for small businesses, not,

but Diana was tempted,

by these,

doughnuts,

one to snack on now and a couple for later,

we carried on looking around,

I was tempted!

we were both hungry, so many different aromas making us more so,

but we had a Sunday lunch waiting,

we finished at the fresh fruit and vegetable stall,

all looking nice,

a final look back at the stalls,

at this part of the park, the last time we were here in December last year,

in this exact spot Pegasus the winged horse was here,

we walked towards the pond,

rather surprisingly there were very few ducks, just lots of Canadian geese,

we walked towards the far end of the lake,

spring flowers appearing on the hill put a bit of colour into the scene,

one coot paddling towards us,

it must have been Diana's doughnut bag that it was after,

just around the corner,

the fist of the parks dinosaurs,

these are the larger ones,

I liked the way that the gardeners had tried to use old looking plants and ferns as ground cover,

lots of signs about the dinosaurs,

the first bluebells of the year,

over the bridge, below what was once a waterfall,

but it has not been used in years, I guess the cost of the electricity for the pumps to supply the water for the fall was just too much,

I climbed a small hill to take a couple of photographs,

looking towards the aquatic dinosaurs,

and a quick pose from Diana,

back at ground level,

we continued walking,

past the last of the big creatures,

to the crocodiles,

and long necked water based animals,

like this one,

the end of the lake,

where information is available,

about the lake and the dinosaur display,

yellow crocuses putting on a good show,

the day was grey, and it just started to lightly rain,

a cygnet changing into a swan,

in the summer you can hire a boat,

but at this time of the year they are a home for the birds,

some one will have to clear the mess before the next summer season,

in the distance one of the two radio/television masts on the hill,

just before making our way down to the bus stop,

a last look at the lake,

quintessentially British scene, a policewoman, a red telephone box and a gentleman with his penny-farthing,

the farthing a bit clearer to see here, if you fancy trying a penny-farthing the club is here,

down to the bottom gate,

past the flowers and onto the bus for home,

one of the magnolia trees we saw a few days ago,

its flowers now starting to open,

it was raining quite a bit by now,

dried off it was time for a sherry and a read,

'Cheers!',

for today roast duck,

we decided against a starter,

as we knew we were having,

some sticky toffee pudding,

in the late afternoon,

Steve and Kai called round for a chat,

after they left Diana received a short video from the Philippines, a little more work was being done on the outside kitchen, it was getting late, so just one from Midsomer Murder and we were off to bed.
