Great News, Diana Has Two Days Off,

bad news, I will only be making one post a day,

back to Wednesday, a cold start to the day as I walked out of the park,

I was soon on a number 54 bus hurtling towards Blackheath Village,

someone's day getting off to a bad start,

the pots and pans stall here in Lewisham market as usual,

and plenty of fresh fruit always available,

in Blackheath Village the florists next to the station had a good display this morning,

2 trays,

of ornamental gourds,

cut thistles,

as well as so many,

bunches of flowers,

on the other side of the door,

some coral bead plants (Nertera granadensis),

the display looked so nice,

into the station and bad news, back to the bad old days of changing at Dartford, just as winter is starting it looks like the train that goes to Gravesend the 10.31 is no more, as it joins the 10.04 both going to Dartford but by different routes,

the upline platform nearly deserted as the London bound trains have both just left,

it was windy in Dartford, the pond next to the station's fountain being blown to one side,

the waterfowl in the lee of the trees,

arriving in Gravesend a 21 minute wait for the 483, but give a thought for all of the passengers here that are relying on the half hourly 489 it is now 11.14, the first 489 at 12.50! so much for going green and relying on public transport!

looking across the station rain clouds creeping in,

off of the 483 and walking towards the nursing home where Duncan lives this tree bursting with berries,

a bumper crop this year in yellow,

and red,

continuing up the hill,

and inro the grounds of the home, Duncan was his usual self, happy and chatting, we talked about the dreadful situation in the Middle East, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the situation it is terrible that a dispute has descended to such violence, from both sides, on a happier note we also reminisced about a oil show we went to in Aberdeen, when Duncan had his oil and gas magazine that he published, as his lunch arrived we said our farewells,

and I left the home,

I could not help but notice this bush,

the leaves going from green to yellow to red, it looks better in real life!

this was handy,

the train going through to Blackheath, so no changing at Dartford,

off of the train and on to the number 54 bus, it was raining,

past the never ending works on this building,

still no flowers in the beds opposite Lewisham hospital,

the bee garden on top of this bus shelter,

will appreciate the rain,

I stayed on the bus past Beckenham green,

alighting at Sainsbury's, Diana wanted some fabric conditioner, the washing machine will be working non-stop on her days off!

into the park,

and home, work has continued on our building, a shelter being made for the windows in the cellar,

it was soon time for my read and sherry, 'Cheers!',

for tonight Diana had prepared a Indian meal,

masala poppadum's,

for our main course, garlic nan, onion bhajees, lamb samosas, rice along with a chicken and a prawn dish, another 'Cheers!', after our meal we watched another round of BattleBots, which was great fun, followed by a Lewis, one we had not watched before, rounding off the evening with a Midsomer Murder before we were off to bed.
