The Day Began With A Bill,

so off to the 3BB office,

 it is in Thepprasit Road,

where the weekend night market takes place, already some stall holders are starting to erect their stalls,

arriving home I noticed one of the air plants had flowered,

and strange the flowers looked too,

it looks like we will have a few lemons,

 none for months,

then five at the same time,

inside as it is Saturday I changed the fridge magnet, so this week I will be thinking about our trip to Jungfraujoch in Switzerland,

 now for some aquarium maintenance,

that is about enough water out,

so time to refill it,

the kittens pool was looking a bit dirty with dust settling in it and algae growing on the tiles,

 Mariana and Cable looked on,

I opened the drain tap,

and waited for the level to drop,

then a brush to remove the algae,

then add water and have the pool inspected by Mariana and Cable, Hogue stays out of the way, I do not think he has ever forgiven Cable for pushing him in,

in the evening I decided to sit outside as we normally do on a Saturday evening and listen to music, for my starter a couple of sandwiches, a pastrami and coleslaw followed by a gouda cheese and dill pickle, I decided to spend the evening in the main part with Tom Lehrer, I listened to two of his complete LPs as they were called in my day, a little about the man, he is a retired American singer-songwriter, satirist, pianist, and mathematician, He has lectured on mathematics and musical theatre, and is best known for humorous and sometimes disturbing songs he recorded in the 1950s and '60s, from 1962, he taught in the political science department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in 1972, he joined the faculty of the University of California, Santa Cruz, teaching an introductory course entitled "The Nature of Mathematics" to liberal arts majors—"Math for Tenors", according to Lehrer, He also taught a class in musical theater, in 2001, Lehrer taught his last mathematics class (on the topic of infinity) and retired from academia, He has remained in the area, and in 2003 said he still "hangs out" around the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his songs? here are a couple of them,

well how do you spend your time in the park with your sweetheart?

and this one slightly macabre,

and of course we all grow old, the good news as someone once said about him, 'Mr. Lehrer's muse is not fettered by such inhibiting factors as good taste',

but he is best known for his rendition of the elements in which he names all of them in just a couple of minutes, to the background of a popular tune, as an aside if you wait till after the applause has died down he then sings a similar song but set in the time of Aristotle, and here is someone I would never have expected to tackle the elements, live!

he was magic in remembering all of those and in the correct order!

on to my main course, two more sandwiches, roast beef, mustard with lettuce and tomato, followed by a ham, cheese and tomato, so I guess I have all of the main food groups covered this evening and with that I was off to bed.
