other people have been adopted by kittens and are then housed inside as family pets,
like the grandmother of Eric Hertlein, pictured with Eric above, who kindheartedly took three wayward kittens into her home, but when he visited her he noticed something
slightly different with one of the kittens,
can you spot the odd one out?
well Eric did, His grandma thought she'd been taking care of three stray
cats, but one of them was an opossum imposer pretending to be a cat so he
could live the sweet life indoors, “She reassured me it was one of her cats,” he told The Dodo, “I told her it wasn’t what she thought it was.” the sweet woman even named him
Tete, and though she was shocked to realize the truth, she didn’t mind too much
at all, “Well, he hasn’t bothered me yet, so I’m OK with him being here!” she
reportedly exclaimed,
in case you are thinking of keeping one as a pet, in the US it is illegal to keep opossums without a wildlife rehabilitation permit, but it appears that people do deliberately keep them as pets, and looking at the picture above I can see why, they do look so cute.
