We Were Out For The Day,

with Steve and Kai,

  to a fish auction,

at the meeting place of the 3rd. Mosley Scout Group,

it was a meeting of the British Killifish Association,

at the meeting hobbyist bring in fish that they have breed,

 and auction them off,

before the bidding begins, everyone looks at what is on offer,

 except the girls,

we meet up with John, who very successfully breeds killifish, and was helping Steve in the selection of a few plants that were for sale from a bench not in auction,

 then the auction began,

most bags with one or two pairs went for the £5 to £10 range, but a few select pairs went for nearly £20,

as it happens early in my fishkeeping career I kept killifish, one known as the three Stripe Killifish, Aphyosemion bivittatumand breed them quite successfully, a beautiful little fish, auction over,

 next stop,

to look at some more fish,

 at the Morden Garden Center,

what a neat selection of pots for car enthusiasts,

Steve and myself had a quick look around,

then home for Sunday lunch, Diana cooked a gammon ham for all of us,

then a real treat, Steve and Kai had brought round two special cheeses,

 and some dates,

 a  quick pose,

and then it was time to try the cheese,

 firstly,

 which was nice,

and even nicer, the Just Jane Vintage Cheddar

and to round off the meal, some delicious chocolates, many thanks to Steve and Kai, after we said our farewells, it was feet up for a couple from the Poirot box and we were off to bed.
