opposite the church,
and to the dentists to have my troublesome crown stuck back in,
returning home I walked past the church,
and noticed the first of the bluebells appearing,
the wisteria on the gatehouse to the park,
starting to flower on the right hand side,
with the first few flowers showing on the roadside part of the house,
we were soon out again, to Kelsey Park,
we had not been here for a couple of weeks,
so it was a nice surprise,
to see so many flowers out,
and putting on a good show,
the garden in front of the gate house looking nice,
what a lovely place to live,
we made our way over the river,
and back again looking towards the weir,
Diana had brought some brown bread for the ducks, but today not many were in residence,
we passed the last stand of daffodils,
in a few more days they will be gone,
the first squirrel,
noticed Diana had a bag, so he received a few peanuts,
a very tattay fox was out and about,
there were very few birds here today, and those that were here were well feed,
making our way to the top of the park, we passed some more flower beds,
some with tulips,
the fox seemed to be tracking us,
and was remarkably tame, showing little fear of us,
not many gesse here today, as well as ducks and seagulls, in fact we only saw one seagull in our entre visit,
heron island,
there were several pairs nesting in the trees,
a very lethargic and sleepy duck, even when I got close it did not want to move even though it was awake and could see me,
the Brazilian giant rhubarb, (Gunnera manicata), now starting its rapid growth,
a flower already forming,
looking back to where we entered the park,
only a couple of mandarin ducks here today,
they look so pretty,
Diana feed one of the squirrels, but they like the birds did not seem hungry and we knew why, it must be school holidays as there were so many kids here, many with bags of peanuts, there were empty shells everywhere, the squirrels and birds were full to bursting!
as we left the park,
we walked past another stand of giant rhubarb, in a few months time the leaves will be an impressive 5 or 6 feet across, they get huge,
we called in to pick Diana's new telephone up, a Samsung 10, it looks very nice I must say,
in the evening I was out,
the evening still bright,
compared to a few weeks ago,
I meet Steve and we walked towards the club,
arriving just as it was getting dark,
after putting the world to rights we said our farewells,
and I made my way through the park home,
where it was feet up for a nightcap and the first episode of the new Netflix Our Planet documentary, which I have to say was excellent, and with the end of that we were off to bed.

Amazing to see foxes in your local park like that. Do they prey on local animals? Do they get into the trash like raccoons?
