Unfortunately Diana Has A Overnight Shift Today,

from 5.00 PM to 05.00 AM

so before our lunch out for a walk to the farmers market in the park,

it does not look it, but there are quite a few people here today,

at the park entrance,

looking towards the mansion, lots of trippers out side at the benches and tables,

Wise Choice for Flowers and Plants are here at Beckenham Place Park most Sunday's from 10.00 in the morning until 3.00 in the afternoon, their Facebook page is here,

a nice agave

as well as a few cactus

some huge,

a quick pose before we started looking for a cake for Diana to take to work for when she has a break,

the stalls crowded with shoppers,

as I walked along I stopped at one of them,

if you like mushrooms, this is the stall for you, non-profit making Adi's Urban Mushrooms, grown locally in Brockley,

just a few of the mushrooms for sale, there is a video showing some of the mushrooms here

and a video of where they are grown is here, and even how to cook them! so make a date in your dairy of Sunday, 23 June, 10 - 4 as Adi's Urban Mushrooms will be back at Beckenham Place Park,

Diana was tempted to buy a snack here,

looking across the green in front of the mansion,

we made our way to the rear of the building,

past the antiques shop in the building,

Diana went in here,

to buy a coffee and a cake,

we managed to find a bench,

over looking some of the park,

coffee and a cake to go,

for myself,

what else?

the mansion behind me,

many people soaking up the sun today,

we started back as our Sunday lunch was cooking,

when we saw this,

a remotely controlled model car,

and it was fast,

as it disappeared from view,

out of the gates that stop cars from entering this road to the mansion,

past the snail mail box,

and we were home in time for our Sunday roast, first a read and a sherry,

starting with prawns on avocado,

with a drizzle of lemon,

for today roast pork, with gravy for Diana,

sans gravy for myself, 'Cheers!',

we rounded off our meal with a apple strudel,

eyes down and tuck in,

shortly after finishing our meal Diana was off to work, for myself a boys own film for the early evening, Angels One Five, a film I remember from so long ago, it was a 1950s made film about the RAF and their battle for the skies in the Second World War,

image TVGUIDE which I followed with Outback Crystal Hunters, I had not seen this series before, it does what is says on the label, hunters of rock crystals scour Australia for them, next this weeks edition of Have I Got News For You,

I rounded off the evening with Venom, basically a alien takes over a humans body, great special effects and Tom Hardy really gives the film his all, after which I was off to bed.

Dear Stanley and Diana-
We think Diana could get a side job at the park selling sun glasses to the visitors to protect their eyesight from a park resident that wears very bright shirts! Good going Stanley-keep wearing the shirts -they make you look like a kid again! Is this one Steve and Kai brought , or did you folks get earlier in Thailand? Anyway, save some extra to take on the trip so you can stock up!!!!!
Best

Dear John and Alley, it was a shirt we brought back from Thailand, I have a few of them, but most have shrunk, I put them in the wardrobe and they fit me, then a few years later somehow the wardrobe has shrunk them and they are tight!, amazing! still the good news only another 6 months or so and we will be back out to Thailand and I can buy a few more, best regards, Stan and Diana.
