until today I had never heard of a Nerf toy, like the one of many different models above, they are a variety of foam-based weaponry, since many such items were released throughout the 1970s, Nerf products often feature bright neon colours and soft textures similar to the flagship Nerf ball, the slogan, which has been frequently used since advertising in the 1990s, is "It's Nerf or Nothin'!" which I have never heard of, 

but what I did hear about was that one chap who likes these toys has made a Nerf that fires a Nerf dart at 800 meters per second, warning do not try this at home! recently YouTuber Giaco Whatever created a pneumatic "gun" that launches NERF darts at such a high speed those little foam and plastic darts actually break the sound barrier, which is 343 meters per second, these darts travel at well over twice the speed of sound, get hit by one of these and that is going to smart in the morning!
