Diana Was On Early Shift Today,

for myself I was out,

into a bright sunny day,

a walk into town, past the green,

and church,

the police station on the left now a restaurant,

and speaking of restaurants one that we go to for a Sunday lunch, My Place, has ceased to be, and has been replaced by one called Moon, which is a lounge bar and bistro, the menu is here, a walk just around the corner and I was in the doctors surgery to drop off a sample to check my diabetes,

back to the High Street at the number 54 bus stop, opposite Pierluigi's restaurant,

I soon arrived at the antiques store by the bus stop at Cromwell Road,

I had a chat with the owner,

whilst snapping away,

at some of the goods on offer,

then over the road to Kingfisheries, I had some printing to drop off in the shop, then a walk into town to drop off a cheque at the accountants,

a walk to the war memorial,

and a 227 bus to the green,

where the hanging baskets were putting on a good display,

Foxgrove Lodge nearly covered in wisteria,

it was still a nice day, for some reason thunderstorms had been forecast, but not a sign of one,

Diana had beaten me home and had prepared our evening meal, first a read, 'Cheers!',

for tonight a chicken curry,

eyes down and tuck in, it was delicious,

next out to the club,

to meet Steve, for our Friday night beer and a chat,

during the week the football pitch had been marked out,

and it looks like the cricket pitch had been reseeded,

not many in the club this evening,

after chatting to Steve Frank called by,

and was soon engrossed in his book, we chatted the night away, after saying our farewells we both made a move for our homes,

here are a couple of videos, the first Diana made of the kribs fry, hopefully they will not disappear like the first ones,

this video is part 8 of the trip Neil and myself made to India, in this video some months before branches of trees were placed in the river to give a habitat for fish, netting was then placed around them the branches removed and the net brought ashore,

we then looked at any fish of interest,

this striped botia looked nice, held in a lotus leaf, but was already known, as it happens the locals were more interested in us rather than the fish! some of the fish were a size, we then went to the drying tables where the fish are dried in the sun, also a boat with fish covering the bottom of it was brought to shore for us to have a look at, we looked at a few fish, but alas no new species,

next a look at wicker nets and where they were used, to find a rather ugly catfish, a huge mouth so as you might guess a fish eater, it is called a frogmouth catfish, (Chuka chuka), and a couple of other fish, one a small catfish, back to our evening, Diana had already gone to bed as she was tired, and also tomorrow morning another early shift, for myself a nightcap as I watched a Have I Got More News For You, before I too was off to bed.
