I Was Going To Visit Duncan,

meanwhile Diana was going to meet Kai in London for a day out,

the girls meet at New Beckenham station and made their way to Big Ben, now sans its scaffolding that has been around it for a few years,

naturally a few poses,

along the embankment,

Big Ben in the background,

as well as the London Eye, Kai,

and Diana,

a last look,

as they made their way along the embankment,

passing a repurposed bus,

and St. Paul's,

before they reached China Town, which always looks nice with its lanterns,

they chose a Koran restaurant for their meal,

looking down from the restaurant

a couple of drinks,

and a pose,

as the food started to arrive,

lots of it!

I have no idea what they ordered,

but they needed to build themselves up for the shopping fest to come!

after all of that,

a dessert, then the shopping began in earnest, Diana arrived home after myself laden with goodies from some of the Filipino food stores,

for myself as soon as the blog was posted,

I was on my way out into clear blue skies,

past Peter Pan's Pool,

at one of the bus shelters the bee garden on top of it,

 looking a tad sunburnt,

into Catford, I was sitting on the right hand side of the bus,

so here is the building work still continuing on this buildings clock tower,

the plants on The Watch House in Lewisham still looking nice,

Lewisham market open for business,

but the florists next to the station was not,

the ticket office closed as well,

great news, the 09.31 still goes to Gravesend, so no changing trains at Dartford,

I stopped halfway along the platform,

as one of the commuter trains pulled out of the station,

and this is why I was only halfway along the platform, I alighted on the upline side of the station,

as I was meeting Alan, who kindly gave me a lift to the nursing home where Duncan stays,

one for the album, Duncan was in fine sprits wee chatted away about where were Diana and myself had been over the past few days and about Sir Winston Churchill who we all have a great deal of respect for, after saying our farewells Alan dropped me off at the station,

not too long until the 13.04,

and there it was, arriving at Blackheath the florists was still closed, so over the road to the bus stop,

the number 54 passing Lewisham hospital, the sunflower beds now well past their best,

as were the bee gardens on the way home,

some of the plants just holding on,

into the park

and home,

I arrived home before Diana, before my evening meal a read and a sherry,

followed by chicken korma and a lamb rogan josh, 'Cheers!',

and I remembered to use a big plate! in the evening Diana arrived home, so it was feet up for a couple of Midsomer Murders before we were off to bed.

Dear Stanley and Diana-Alley and are so happy Diana has the week off and you folks have had some great day trips. Also nice she was able to go to the downtown with Kia for lunch, snacks, sight seeing and shopping. We know she works very hard at ALDI and is also called in most weeks for extra shifts due to labor shortages. Funny, we thought London was full of people, guess they are the entitlement and refuse to work. Anyway great she is on holiday and can enjoy some fun things while she is off. You should be very proud of her work ethic Stanley! 👍
Best Regards
John and Alley

Dear John and Alley, many thanks for your kind thoughts, yes Diana does really work so hard, a pity a huge number of work shy and on benefits others in the UK does not, so we try to make the best of her days off, as it happens she is going to a wedding today as one of the managers are getting married, it is a works only thing but we had a great day out yesterday as she had to buy a dress for the wedding! best regards, Stan and Diana.
