The Orchids Were Looking Nice,

so I took a couple of photographs of them,

this one seems to like the full sun,

as it has flowered for two consecutive years,

as has this one,

I decided to spend some time cleaning the aquarium,

there were a few areas of algae on the glass that did not come off easily, so I made a determined effort to remove them, next remove the thread algae that likes our aquarium so much and all was well,

Diana was on early shift this morning so she was home in the afternoon, in the evening it was time for a read and a sherry,

Diana had prepared a chicken casserole,

and delicious it was too, 'Cheers!',

for dessert,

fresh strawberries and cream,

after listening to music for some time it was then a movie or two, firstly we watched Equilibrium, we had watched it some time ago, this is what I wrote then, 'borrowing very heavily from 1984, a little, like the dodging bullets and gunfight scenes from Matrix and add a touch of Blade Runner and you have Equilibrium, apart from a few special effects and a couple of twist in the story it was an average sci-fi movie', but still enjoyable to watch again,

we rounded off the evening with Red Heat, part way through I noticed a melody that I recognised, it was Acker Bilk playing Stranger On The Shore

which always reminds me of this photograph I took of a stranger on the shore at Brighton a few years ago, back to the film, this was the 'sanitized' version, at the end of the original Ivan and Art end up with a suitcase full of money, the question is who keeps it and does he hand it in? in this version the suitcase is not shown or mentioned, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
