Diana Had Another Late Start,

so a couple of bacon baps and mug of tea it was before she left,

a quick look at some of the succulents flowers, this one had flowered a few times before,

but this was a new one for us,

as it happens the single plant,

had 3 flower stems on it,

another few days and they will hopefully open,

jobs for today, clean and cut back the Java moss, (Vesicularia dubyana), in the aquarium, it was starting to look a little shabby,

it does not look it from the photograph, but in real life the aquarium look so much better, also print off some more price labels for Kingfisheries, this will happen for the next few weeks, as new stock arrives for the outdoor garden pond section,

also a few signs for the shop's closing day for the King's coronation,

by now Diana had already left for work, for myself out into a nice warm sunny day,

past the magnolia, now looking well past its best,

onto and off of the number 54 bus which stops by the antique shop, outside something I had not seen since the 1950s, my grandfather had one of these, I never saw it working,

it was a magic lantern, a paraffin lamp was lit in the main box, then roughly 3" square glass slides were placed in a runner in front of the lamp and the imagine was shown onto a wall or screen, it was a early forerunner of a slide projector,

over the road to the shop, where I dropped off the printing, then back on to a number 54 and home,

walking past Foxgrove Lodge at the entrance to the park,

the wisteria on the building,

starting to flower,

also a little further along this tree,

was putting on a good show, arriving home I watched a couple of quiz shows before my evening meal, which I followed with an Outback Opel Hunters, then a 2 hour special, Deadliest Catch, I just could not imagine I could ever have the strength, endurance or ability to do what these guys do on the crab and cod boats that is their job, despite the fabulous wages! after which Diana arrived home, so it was A Touch of Frost before we were off to bed.
