we had invited Steve and Kai for Sunday lunch,
the first thing to do after a few beers,
was open the bubbly,
I had read about a tip when it comes to opening corks, once opened keep the cage that holds the cork in on, it makes holding the cork so much easier, for our starters Diana had prepared a salad of lettuce onions, radishes and sliced peppers, along with smoked salmon and Pacific prawns, and to top the starter off, sliced avocado,
bubbly all round,
for today's roast a Easter turkey, with all of the trimmings,
all set to start with lashings of gravy, and a bottle of red that Steve had kindly brought with him,
Kai and Diana take a pose, then it is eyes down and tuck in!
after a break the dessert arrived,
Diana had made a mixed berry dish,
along with apple strudel,
easy does it,
ta-dah!
Kai with strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries,
add the apple strudel and ice cream for a delicious dessert,
after a break we made a move to the coffee table, where we watched the last episode of Clarkson's Farm, which was great fun, even more so as Steve and Kai had brought around custard tarts and some macaroons, after saying our farewells Steve and Kai made a move for home as we settled down for the evening,
as it happens No Time to Die was showing so that was that, after which as Diana has a early start tomorrow we were off to bed.
