I Guess we Have All Heard Of Geodes,

rocks that are hollow,


 but when they are opened contain a cave of crystals, they take millions of years to form, but the one above,

 and these took just 6 months, the reason why? they are huge chocolate coated sugar rocks, the crystals may look like purple amethyst other precious stones, but these melt in the mouth!

the enormous chocolate-covered rock candy geodes are the creation of culinary students Alex Yeatts and Abby Lee Wilcox, the results of a final project for the Culinary Institute of America in New York, the pair are keeping very quiet about the actual process of making a sugar geode,

but look at the size of this one, now that is what I call an Easter egg, not sure that I could eat a whole one though!
