This Man Made Lake,

is so big it can be seen from space,

Love Lake, is located in the desert near Dubai, it is probably one of the most impressive attractions for romantic couples visiting the Middle-East, Love Lake is technically two intertwined heart-shaped lakes situated near the Al Qudra Oasis. Measuring a whopping 550,000 square meters, one can only imagine the time and effort and money that went into making this place a reality, especially considering that apart from the heart-shaped lake itself, it consists of hundreds of thousands of shrub varieties, over 16,000 trees, and thousands of colourful flowers, including red begonia, either arranged in heart shapes, or to spell out the word “Love”,

unveiled on November of 2018, Dubai’s Love Lake started attracting attention after Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, shared an aerial photo of it on his popular Instagram account, with the caption “To all of you”, although the Love Lake has become a popular destination for romantics in the Middle East, to truly appreciate its beauty, you have to see it from at least 50 meters above ground, otherwise, all you’ll be looking at what appears to be just a lake, You’ll want to either experience the view from a helicopter, or at least fly a drone over it, which you’ll need a permit for, also remember do not feed the fish or birds if you visit, or you can of course keeping to a love theme, go to Love Island.
