First Thing,

a mystery was solved,

when we went to Canary Wharf I mentioned I did not know what this statue was, well MikeC did know, it is sculpture called 'Man with Open Arms' by Giles Penny, as it happens there are 75 works of art scattered in Canary Wharf, if you go there here is the list and map of them, many thanks to MikeC,

after posting the blog, exercises, shower and breakfast I was off, I am going to have my third covid jab,

taking a short cut, in this part of the road the residents know how to stop cars parking on the verge,

most of these logs would take two people to lift,

Bromley council is too poor to make the road up,

but naturally all of the residents still pay full rates to the council,

I was near my journeys end,

to Peter's Pharmacy, there were running a little late, so a quick beer over the road,

a quick look in the florist,

the cyclamen putting on a good show, then back, including the compulsory 15 minute wait after the injection I was out in 35 minutes,

the snail mail box was being given a face lift,

the railway bridge has now been made one way,

the number of times cars meet in the middle, as you can not see the other side as it is steep was untrue,

there are a number of unmade up roads in the area,

I continued onwards towards home,

past this charming cottage,

many years ago it was almost derelict,

but it has now been restored to its former glory,

the good thing about living in an unmade up road, is that it stops car drivers from taking a short cut,

the bad news is that in winter the bottom half of your car is permanently covered in mud when you drive it, in the summer it is even worse, your car is covered in a thick layer of dust whether you drive it or not!

the entrance to what was once the Foxgrove Club and a part of the park,

nearly home,

in the evening a read and a sherry,

for tonight a gala pie, there were 2 pieces in the pack, this one hidden under the label, no egg! just my luck, Diana had all ready eaten the other piece with the egg in,

a chicken meal for one,

eyes down and tuck in,

for dessert a Eton mess,

I was then off to meet Steve in the club,

we chatted most of the night away, Steve kindly dropped me off home where it was feet up, for the latest instalment from the Hornby television series, which tonight featured two railway layouts that we had visited on a trip to Bexhill,

naturally both Diana and myself kept saying, "been there",

"seen that",

and there is Diana, at the time we visited masks were compulsory for visitors, the first layout had connections the Izzard family railway, in the television program Eddie was helping to put the snow on the second larger layout, we just had time for one from New Tricks before we were off to bed.
