Diana Was On Late Shift Today,

so we spent the day together,

having said that I took a brisk walk into town, the weather was a usual English winters day, grey, wet and cold,

no one on the green,

into Marks and Spencer's and out again into the park and home, in the afternoon we watched a couple of films,

the first titled The Gentleman, we are both fans of Guy Ritchie, but somehow managed to miss this one, if films of his like Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, are in your list of favorite films this is another one for you, we both enjoyed the film so much,

the second film before Diana went to work was The King, what a story, and most of the characters were from real life, as was the story, a great period piece and well worth watching,

after Diana had left for work, it was time for a read and a sherry, 'Cheers!',

as for reading, as well as the Latin names for creatures and plants that were found on the vouge, I enjoy the use of words that are seldom or no longer used as in, my 'ague' or, which now became 'quotidian', another, our seamen were sized with 'intermittents', a very enjoyable read indeed,

for my starter mussels with dry toast,

followed by toad in the hole,

eyes down and tuck in,

for dessert mango, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, I then spent the rest of the evening watching YouTube, lots of 10 minute or so clips, the one below I particularly liked as there were a number of attempts I had not seen before,

it was titled, The First Flying Machines - Failures and Mishaps, unfortunately no information on who or when, but still very entertaining to watch, after Diana arrived home it was a coffee and a chat before we were off to bed.
