Although It Was Not Yet Diana's Birthday

Diana just had to look at some of the cakes Steve and Kai had bought for her,

a half a dozen cup cakes,

each one different,

and suitably inscribed,

cakes, flowers and cards, what could be better? many thanks to Steve and Kai,

we had a late lunch, 'Cheers!',

we started with moules mariniere in a white wine sauce,

which were delicious,

for our main course, a pork chop and a slice of pork belly.

which made a nice change from a Sunday roast,

we rounded the meal off with a toffee pavlova,

a slice each and it was time for our Sunday films, we started with Hellraiser II, but I found it was so gory we changed to a couple of films starring Bill Nighy

firstly Turks & Caicos, which we both enjoyed so much we decided to watch the second follow on,

Salting the Battlefield, which was sort of OK but not as good as the first, we rounded the evening off with an old favourite,

From Hell, we had watched the film before, but still found this take on the Jack the Ripper story a good one, I should mention I had a bit of a disaster, one of my two font teeth snapped off during the meal, so a telephone call to the dentist when they open on Monday to make an appointment, and with that we were off to bed.
