Sunday,

for today we were out for lunch,

it was already warm, so summer clothes on for today,

a quick selfie,

then one for the album,

I had a letter to post, so off to the parks snail mail box,

before we were back on our way with a quick twirl from Diana,

we soon arrived walking into town,

to My Place

inside a peruse through the menu,

we had the table by the front window,

the cherry blossom on the wall,

gave the interior a nice look, no Diana did not drink wine,

but instead ordered a mojito,

'Cheers!',

I should explain that a mojito is a timeless Cuban infusion of fresh mint, lime juice, and sugar muddled and topped with soda and Captain Morgan dark rum, served tall over crushed ice, I tried a sip, it really was quite refreshing,

as there were no customers inside as we were sitting at our table,

Diana had a pose under the cherry blossom,

our starters arrived, Diana had ordered salt and peppered squid, which was deep fried and seasoned with crushed peppercorns, sea salt and chilli flakes, and served with a side of garlic mayo dip,

for myself UK mussels steamed in a creamy herb and dry white wine reduction, the portion was huge, as were the mussels,

we both decided on the same main course,

roast beef with all of the trimmings,

and as usual I forgot to say 'no gravy',

we had a long break before our desserts,

for Diana strawberry cheesecake,

a crème brulee for myself,

another 'Cheers!',

the meal came to just £80.00 and many thanks or Diana for picking up the tab, my turn next Wednesday,

we walked back home,

the roses in the garden,

of Foxgrove Lodge sadly past their best,

not so the peonies, the pink,

and the white putting on a good show,

as was this plant whose name escapes me,

these pink roses were out as well, arriving home it was feet up for the Sunday afternoon black and white movie, for today,

Children of the Damned, this is the squeal to the one we watched last week, The Village of the Damned, scary dairy! well it was for me when I first watched them in 1960 and 1964 respectively,

for our evening film after a small snack The Three Musketeers, which we had watched a few times before, but was still great fun to watch again, after the end of that and a couple of Outback Opal Hunters, we were of to bed.
