We Were Out For A Pre-lunch Walk,

so shorts,

and smiles on,

we are going to the mansion,

it was a glorious day,

on the gates to stop cars a few signs for upcoming events,

and this is the event we are going to, a number of stalls specialising in goods from the 1940s/1950s or thereabouts,

we started towards the mansion.

there were stalls inside and out,

as well as food stalls,

stalls leading to the mansion,

and towards the Downham entrance to the park,

and along the side of the green, well brown, to the other side of the mansion,

as always a Citron van has been made into a coffee/food mobile stall,

a look at some of the goods on sale,

the fact is that so many of the items for sale,

I can remember from my parents homes over the years,

as well as the homes of school friends,

I have to say a few items I can remember from my first home, after moving out of Mum and Dads,

a Coca-Cola sign, just what I want for my man attic!

we made our way towards the mansion,

inside lights,

books,

and so many items of interest,

next outside,

to the sound of music,

a small band was playing, they reminded me of The Temperance Seven, a band that I have many tracks from, great fun to listen to,

we looked at the stalls at the rear of the mansion, and there at the bottom left I thought I saw a Micky Mouse telephone,

but it was not,

we started on our way home,

a last look at the mansion,

I stopped at the plant stall,

to take a few photographs,

the ornamental pineapples looking very nice,

we started the downhill walk,

looking to the left,

and right the grass now no longer green,

lunch was still a couple of hours away, Diana decided on a snack,

for myself a read and a sherry,

then a 'Cheers!', with mussels in a white wine sauce,

for our main course, roast duck with gravy for Diana,

sans gravy for myself,

eyes down and tuck in,

for dessert,

raspberry ripple ice cream with a tiramisu,

after our meal we watched some of the Tour de France, not that I have the slightest interest in cycling, well except when they fall off, but it was the fact,

that when we were last in Paris with Steve and Kai, we had a coffee in a café on the righthand side of this street,

the finish, at last, we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening watching movies,

starting with Underworld, great fun and quite a good look at the battle of the underworld, between Lycans (Werewolves)and Vampires,

it just had to be Goldfinger what is there not to like about this movie?

which we followed with Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we both enjoyed the first Venom, but this one was for us not a good as it could have been, by now it was late, so for us we were off to bed.
