Another Day Of Just One Post!

I took so many photographs I have split it into 2 parts,

glad rags on,

and we were out,

to the railway station,

as we had to go there to catch a train to London, I also decided to buy the tickets to visit Duncan next week, looking behind the counter one of the ticket staff had bought a new aquarium,

whilst I was doing that Diana bought a coffee and a cake,

we had a short wait,

for the train,

to London Bridge,

we sat back to enjoy the journey,

and have a pose of course!

we soon arrived at London Bridge,

next to the shard,

and a few other tall buildings,

under archway, and across the road to the Hay's Galleria, which we have visited many times before

new for this visit,

bronze monkeys, the legend says it all,

and here is another one,

and a bit about it,

Diana has a pose, in the background H. M. S. Belfast, which we visited back in September 2010,

behind the Belfast the Walkie Talkie building amongst others,

and behind Diana where we are going, not the tower itself, but the moat,

we had to have a few poses,

with Tower Bridge in the background,

well a couple of them,

this restaurant had a nice look to it,

looking back across the river,

one of the paddle boats, the paddles turning as the current passed by them,

on Tower Bridge,

we stopped for a couple of photographs,

some of the boats,

making a 'U' turn,

a look at the tower,

as we made our way across the bridge,

and this is what we were heading for, Superbloom at the Tower of London,

a pose from Diana with a Beefeater in the background giving a talk to tourists,

the way in,

so what is Superbloom all about?

the Tower's 'Superbloom' is the first stage of installing a natural landscape in the moat in the heart of the City of London. It will see the moat become a welcoming new habitat and a green haven for pollinators, insects and seed-eating birds,

so we booked tickets on Diana's day off,

and popped up to have a look,

I read somewhere that there are 29 different species of plant in the moat,

landscape,

and portrait,

more than 20 million seeds have been planted,

the flowers were specifically selected for their colours and their ability to thrive in the urban space,

one more,

then on to the flowers,

unfortunately,

the photographs,

can never replace being there,

but we will have a good go at it, Diana with her mobile telephone as well,

'smile!'

the legend,

we started our walk around,

first,

a couple of myself,

and then the stars of the show,

the flowers,

I know there are only 29 species,

but it looked like it could be double that number at least,

a real riot of colour,

the moat was well attended,

a quick panorama,

the flower beds almost disappeared in the distance,

looking back towards the tower,

and looking to where we will be going next,

these next few photographs,

were taken,

on Diana's mobile telephone,

as in this one I was snapping away,

I tried another panorama, but still cut off the top of the building,

what appears to be a solitary sunflower,

with lots of colour in the foreground,

what an amazing mixture,

we were just about to go around the corner of the building,

and at last a panorama where I did not cut the top of the building off!

looking left,

and right,

the Shard behind Diana,

well I just had to!

where we had just been,

and where we are going to,

a last look at where we had been,

and the Shard, I am stopping the post here, the reason being if I use any more than say 100 photographs, it takes bit of time for the laptop to react, so I try to keep to a maximum of around that number per post, if you would like to see the rest of our visit, please click on the 'Older Posts' button at the bottom right of the page.
