I Had A Busy Day,

first stop was at Marks and Spencer,

to pick up one of those nice toad in the holes I like so much for Saturday evenings meal, next stop Lidl for a few boxes of wine and some spiced rum,

and walk past some of the bars and cafes now offering outdoor eating and drinking,

and past some of the shops that regrettably will not be opening up again,

I called into Sainsburys for a whole duck, so that is Sunday lunch sorted,

after a coffee, out again to post a letter in the snail mail box,

and a walk to Steve and Kai's home, he is installing a new aquarium,

I past the river that runs through Cator Park,

the River Beck flows into Cator Park, where it is joined by the Chaffinch Brook, the river after this juncture is called the Pool River, until it joins the River Ravensbourne which in turn joins the River Thames, after helping Steve it was home for myself,

and my evening read and sherry,

followed by a starter of a prawn cocktail, 'Cheers!',

for my evening meal a half roasted chicken along with coleslaw and a potato salad,

after a dessert of grapes out again, past the Foxgrove Lodge,

and the nice display of bluebells there,

the couple that live there also look after one of the grass verges,

and have planted a colourful display of pansies,

into the club for a beer and to meet Steve,

it was nice to watch so many youngsters play a sport rather than computer games,

the games were on a short pitch, so that several could take place at the same time,

it was getting late as the sun went down, Steve called in for a drink on the way home, shortly after Diana called so Steve dropped me off as we meet her from the bus stop, arriving home it was feet up for one from New Tricks before we were off to bed.
