It Was Diana's Day Off,

we had to pop into town,

for Diana to call into the local clinic,

a quick pose at Foxgrove Lodge, the wisteria at the front now past its best,

whilst Diana was at the clinic I popped into Kingfisheries and had a chat with Lee who was at work there, next stop I called back and had a coffee at the clinics cafĂ©, it was good news for Diana eventually, we had a 3 hour wait! apparently there were so many people booked in, plus a staff shortage led to the long wait, the weather was nice when we left home, but by the time we left the clinic it was so cloudy, on the way home it started to rain, getting off of the bus the heavens opened up, by the time we walked through the park home we were soaked, just our luck!

by now we had abandoned our walk in the park, it was early in the evening before we were out again,

it was glad rags on,

and were off,

back into town,

we had booked a table a few weeks ago in the hope that we could eat inside,

and this is where we had booked, My Place,

it was so nice now being allowed to sit inside a restaurant,

not that sitting outside was a problem,

but it was nice to be out of the elements,

'Cheers!',

Diana ordered a Tai Piranha,

which Diana said was so strong,

and a 'Cheers!' from Diana,

our starters arrived, chicken skewers for Diana,

with vegetables on a hot plate,

for myself King prawns in a spicy sauce,

Diana posing with a red,

and here we are, inside a restaurant at last,

on to our mains, Diana choose a hot mixed seafood linguine in a tomato and sweet pepper sauce,

another quick 'Cheers!',

for myself I decided on a filet steak,

one for the family album,

time to tuck in, I should mention I also had a side of asparagus that we shared,

the meal as you might expect was delicious, and it was not over yet, for desserts Diana ordered a dessert special of the day, it was apparently like a banoffee cheesecake, drizzled with Belgium chocolate, topped with cream and a strawberry, all of which Diana said was delicious,

for myself I was so full I decided against a dessert, but choose a Taylors port, what a way to celebrate be able to eat out again, inside, if you see what I mean, the bill including service came to £117.00,

we made our way back past Marks and Spencer, I will be back here in the early hours of Thursday morning, Diana is closing up on Wednesday evening so she will not be back until after midnight on Thursday,

passing the churchyard, the weeds need a little trimming,

it was quite late although it was still light, the lights illuminating the church now on,

into the park and home, where it was feet up for a large spiced rum, one from New Tricks before we were off to bed.
