It Was Diana's Day Off,

but we decided to stay at home,

first breakfast, pancakes for Diana,

fried eggs on baked beans on toast for myself,

all looking good,

'Cheers!', with a mug of tea, Diana then started busying herself around the house, for myself the ordeal began, trying to cancel a monthly bill from Daisey for the shop as we had started to change from Daisy to BT for the telephone lines at the shop, after queuing in a telephone system I eventually spoke to someone, 30 days notice now officially given and a email back to me to confirm the notice had been received, so hopefully the last bill will arrive on August 6th and then no more, by now it was afternoon so we decided to watch a film,

Ghost Ship, after discovering a passenger ship missing since 1962 floating adrift on the Bering Sea, salvagers claim the vessel as their own, but the ship owns them, a fairly scary dairy movie, with a rather haunting melody, Senza Fine, (Endless),

sung by Francesca Rettondini, then for myself a bit of a shock, over the past 10 days or so, I kept getting messages that I had subscribed to Amazon Prime, and worse still ordered items such as a Apple download and application to watch films, all of which I emailed Amazon about and cancelled, but to day a subscription to a viewing platform had been taken from my bank account, you may remember I gave Duncan a Amazon fire stick, and with out thinking the technician at the home got it working using my Amazon details, and yes you guessed it, someone at the nursing home has been using it over the past week to rob my account and buy things to be charged to me! Amazon were really good about cancelling the stick and refunding money taken from my bank account, but it is distressing to know that someone in the nursing home is a out and out thief, it also means that Duncan will not be able to use the stick, I do not know how to make it work at the home and neither does the technician at the home,

on a happier note it was now time for our evening meal, baked salmon with mash and asparagus,

eyes down and tuck in! in the evening we watched a Midsomer Murder, then as Diana has a 04.00 am start tomorrow she went to bed,

I decided to watch The Man Who Knew Infinity, a biopic about Srinivasa Ramanujan and his massive contribution to mathematics and science, nicely told and as near to the events that happened as far as I can tell, to give you some idea of his work, a diary of his was found that he wrote in the last year of his life, 100 years later modern day astronomers are using the mathematical formula found in it to understand more about black holes, what an amazing man and film, after which I was off to bed.

Dear Stanley and Diana
Welcome to the new world. No one in USA gets punished for crimes here, so many with poor ethics have begun stealing either shoplifting or doing something like your Amazon scam. Meanwhile in California you can go to a store, steal $999 worth of items and walk out without fear of arrest. Progressives say poor people should not be punished for such crimes and the all the morally correct folks should just pay higher prices to subsidize the losses. Socialism at it’s finest.
Alley and I continue to streamline and simplify everything, closing the financial doors to these thieves so they can’t use hidden systems to rob us blind. Sad that over 50% here don’t want to work and look at petty stealing to help support themselves.
I am for old fashioned law and order like 30 years ago when anyone stealing was prosecuted. This prevented others from copy catting crimes because they know they would be punished. Today the police can’t stop anyone if they choose to walk away. City governments defund police so most quit and now no response from 911 calls. Open season to steal here!!!
Bet the same in Britain, as USA is now a third world country full of corrupt politicians. How about that cocaine found in private quarters of the White House—-Hunters?
Anyway the golden era is gone forever and replaced by poor quality of life for most due to heavy corruption. Just like our FBI and Justice Dept in USA-controlled by progressive politicians.
Amazing times! Stanley, keep your hand on your wallet at all times!
Regards
John and Alley

Dear John and Alley, we have pretty much the same over here, but you can only walk out of a shop with £199 worth of goods with out paying, only if you steal £200 or more are the police interested, but then our police are so overworked giving the stop oil nutters tea, biscuits and comfort, as they illegally bring traffic in London to a halt, even refusing to let a ambulance through with siren and blue lights flashing on an emergency through their cordon, the police escorting them did nothing! at times when I read articles in the news like this I just despair, in my day if the local bobby on the beat, (which you never see nowadays), caught you doing anything even just slightly suspicious, a clip round the ear was the order of the day! as you say keep your other half and wallet close at all times! best regards Stan and Diana.
