Only One Post Today,

we went for a walk,

and as usual I took too many photographs, so glad rags on,

and we were out into a sunny day,

we had decided to walk to Kelsey Park, so past Beckenham Green,

and down the steps towards some of the towns restaurants,

by the traffic lights,

a few nice hanging baskets,

and into the park,

on our last visit here in May this year, these beds were waiting to be planted, today a selection of marigolds,

and geraniums,

over the River Beck,

not much of it today, the weather lately has been dry to say the least, with some water companies putting a hosepipe ban in place,

hardly any water over this weir like construction,

and not as much as usual at the lakes outlet,

I can only guess that some other places were running dry,

as today there were so many ducks here,

a ring of five,

but there were so many more,

and we must not forget the squirrels,

this cheeky chappie was so used to people,

he repeatedly,

kept Diana busy giving him peanuts,

one more!

he was so hungry,

time for Diana to take his photograph,

any second now,

just wait for the right pose,

and here he is,

we started our walk, a heron in the distance, it is times like this I could do with a telephoto lens!

the bed here replanted,

with a selection of geraniums,

the ice cream van was here,

so two 99's

£3.00 each,

and we were on our way,

to one of the parks benches,

yummy! with sunglasses,

and with out,

and a smile,

it was a lovely day,

and I had to get in the photographs as well,

twice,

well three times!

heron island now devoid of herons,

a proud swan,

with cygnets,

which so far had not learnt how to eat peanuts,

and this little chap,

paddling as fast as he could,

cheeping all the way as he tried to get near his parents,

united at last,

the swan who was no fool,

followed us with the 5 cygnets,

for a few more peanuts,

a look back along the lake,

I mentioned that perhaps other lakes or ponds were getting low on water,

which might explain why so many Canadian geese are here,

normally there are just a few,

but today the lake was packed with them,

a little further along a duck and a few duckling,

that we gave some peanuts to,

mum keeping a inquisitive moorhen away,

so her ducklings could tuck in,

but the Canadian goose was a bit too big to chase away,

I stopped to give a squirrel a few nuts,

the bridge over the lake still awaiting repairs,

Diana under a huge willow tree,

this tree absolutely huge, it must be over 6 feet across,

we crossed the River Beck again,

and past the other end of the bridge,

looking along the length of the lake,

someone had left some seeds out on one of the rails of a fence for this chappie,

the Chilean Giant Rhubarb, (Gunnera manicata), has really starting to put on a size,

it has at least doubled in size since our last visit, and it still has a long way to go,

this old tree is the home to some of the parks parrots,

we were near the entrance/exit, the flower beds by the gate house now planted,

the gate house sans Diana,

we had some shopping to do on the way home, so up the hill and past the church,

and into Marks & Spencer's,

we passed Foxgrove Lodge,

and the snail mail box before arriving home,

where it was time for a read and a sherry,

and a 'Cheers!', with a selection of Indian starters,

for today roast beef,

with gravy, sans gravy for myself,

eyes down and tuck in,

'Cheers!',

and another one with a raspberry trifle, what a lovely meal, next for us feet up for a Sunday afternoon film, and what better than a Bond?

for today The Spy Who Loved Me, great fun for all concerned, although it was a Sunday the scaffolders were here,

so late in the afternoon when they had gone for the day I took a few photographs,

scaffolding and planks ready to be taken to the chimneys,

one set almost completed, one set still to go,

a couple of floors,

had been wrapped in netting,

to stop items being dropped I guess,

front, back and sides all completed, back indoors it was feet up for a film,

Battle of the Bulge, we had watched the film before, but still impressive to watch again, after a evening snack another film,

Murder on the Orient Express, the 2017 version, I have to say I preferred the original 1974 version, but there it is, fun to watch, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
