It Might Look Strange,

but after a devastating earthquake in 1923,

which then triggered a massive fire, over 100,000 died in the region of Kanto, Japan, the tragedy made the authorities take a closer look at firefighting, particularly with regard to narrow streets, fast forward to the 1940s, the Kurogane company unveiled this design. Very few such trikes survived World War II, but a Russian museum came into possession of one in Malaysia. With an 1100-cc engine and leaf spring suspension, it was fully capable of hauling heavy equipment over difficult terrain, photograph and story from Motorworld, what a neat answer to a major problem.
