crochet teacher Eva Pacheco and over a dozen students approached the city council’s Department of the Environment and asked to swap a large
plastic tarp with a more eco-friendly and colourful solution, photographs ©

that was three years ago and the main shopping centre in Alhaurínde la Torre, in Malaga, in Southern Spain is still covered,
the
textile tarp features colourful geometric patterns, organic shapes that radiate
like stepping stones, and other symbols and colours selected by the students,
Pacheco and
the group of women have expanded the canopy, and it now covers an area of
nearly 500 square meters, what a lovely idea for a sun shade.
