'On 05/13/23 around 1130 pm Springfield Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at 52 miles per hour in a posted 30 mile per hour zone near 7th and Main St.'
but what on earth was the driver thinking when he swapped
places with his dog? even worse the swap was made in full view of the officer as he approached the car, I guess the driver thought he might have avoided arrest and
let his dog take the fall for his traffic violation, as you will have already
guessed the driver was over the drink drive limit, he was arrested and taken to
jail, as for the dog, the police said, "The dog does not face any charges
and was let go with just a warning." in incident was reported in AP. Hopefully the dog's record will not
stay with him forever.
