I Had A Quiet Day,

Diana was at work,

and then a telephone call in the late afternoon from Steve, by now Diana had returned home, one of the huge filters on his aquariums had stopped working and he asked if I could pop round to give him a hand, no sooner said than I was on my way out,

arriving at the entrance to the park,

work had started in putting a mini roundabout in place, over the years there had been so many accidents here, the council thought a mini roundabout would make the crossing safer, Steve picked me up over the road and on cleaning out the filter it appeared that somehow some sand had found its way into the impellor housing and jammed the pump, soon cleaned and a celebratory trip to the pub was in order,

in no time we had walked to the Moon & Stars, for a pint or three, after saying our farewells onto the number 227 bus,

and off at the church,

through the green,

and past the road works,

leading into the park,

the work will take a staggering 12 weeks to complete! which seems a long time to paint a white circle in the road and put up a few 'Give Way' signs, but there it is,

past Foxgrove Lodge,

a pink peony putting on a good show,

it was getting late, arriving home we watched a Have I Got News For You, then as Diana has a early start tomorrow we were off to bed.
